The LTE IoT branch carrier board is an expansion board that can be accessed through the 2nd generation AT& T LTE IoT Entry Kit (USA) or Global LTE IoT Entry Kit enables system level prototype design. These LTE Class 4 IoT starter kits are equipped with a multifunctional Avnet SOM that supports cellular connectivity, GPS position tracking, built-in sensors, dual expansion interfaces, user application hosting, and Starter SIM for data and SMS services
The Starter SIM converts a subset of the peripheral interfaces of a WNC LTE module (with a signal level of 1.8V) to 3.3V through its Samtec ERM8 series 60 terminal connector and is fixed to two Click module sockets, which can purchase over 300 different MikroElekronika Click peripheral modules.

The onboard 3.3V and 1.8V voltage regulators ensure the power supply quality for all use cases.
The external control of power failure and sleep mode on the LTE system board is achieved through a 2x6 terminal connector (not used), which can also provide access to the module's digital audio interface (currently not supported by digital audio)
